South India with Tajmahal tour takes you to the monuments, Palaces, Beaches and tea plantation area. You will visit Delhi, Mumbai, Cochin and many exciting places of South India. Enjoy boat ride, get to know about spice and tea plantation and enjoy Houseboat at Alleppey.
Day1: Delhi
As you arrive at Delhi airport you will be transferred to your pre-booked hotel. Enjoy the rest of your day.
Day 2: Delhi tour
Post having your breakfast the Capital city tour will begin. Visit Red fort which reflects Mughal architecture and was residence of Mughal for several years, Humayun’s Tomb which is a world heritage site, Jama Masjid and its made of Red sand stones and marble. Later on visit Raj Ghat, Akshardham Temple, India Gate, Lotus Temple and Qutub Minar which is tallest masonry minaret and displays Mughal architecture. Explore Chandni Chowk and Connaught palace for shopping. Return to the hotel and enjoy your delicious dinner.
Day 3: Delhi –Agra (210 km)
Next destination point will be Agra. Check into the hotel and relax for a while. After that visit Agra Fort which displays the brilliant architecture of Mughal and it comprises many Palaces, audience hall and two mosques. Later on visit Itmad-ud-Daulah which signifies Islamic architecture and Persian touch at the pillars. Return to the hotel and stay overnight.
Day 4: Agra - Jaipur (242 km)
Visit Tajmahal and mesmerize its beauty in sunrise view. When you see Tajmahal at sunrise view you will be amazed. It was made by Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife and is one of the seven wonders of the Earth. Later on the tour will head towards Jaipur- the Pink city. En-route Fatehpur Sikri, a city founded by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Visit Buland Darwaza, Panch Mahal, Tomb of Salim Chishti, Diwan-I-Aam and Diwan-I-Khaas. The city was constructed in mixed Indian architectural style. Continue towards Jaipur and stay overnight.
Day 5: Jaipur
Post breakfast visit will be at Amer fort enjoying Elephant ride which is a blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture, Jaigarh Fort where the world’s largest cannon is situated and Nahargarh Fort from where the view of city is amazing. Later on visit City Palace which reflects blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture, Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal, Jantar Mantar and Albert Hall. Return to the hotel and enjoy your dinner.
Day 6: Jaipur- Mumbai (1183 km)
Post breakfast you will be heading towards next destination point – Mumbai. Check into the hotel and relax. The rest day is free for your enjoyment. Stay overnight.
Day 7: Mumbai
After having breakfast visit Gateway of India which is located on Apollo Bunder Waterfront, Haji Ali Dargah, Shree Siddhivinayak Temple, Mount Mary Church, Chowpatty Beach which is a favorite picnic spot and Elephanta Caves where the caves are cut from a rock and the architecture is of medieval times. Later visit Marine Drive in evening where the sunset view is stunning. Return to the hotel and enjoy your dinner.
Day 8: Mumbai -Cochin (1539 km)
Post breakfast the tour will head towards Cochin. Spend the rest of the day enjoying yourself and exploring the streets. Return to the hotel and relax.
Day 9: Cochin- Munnar (130 km)
After having your lavishing breakfast you will explore Cochin. Visit will be at Dutch palace which was made by Portuguese and its architecture style resembles to traditional Kerala house, Jewish Church which is beautiful place to visit in Cochin, Indo-Portuguese Museum and Hill Palace. Night stay will be in Munnar.
Day 10: Munnar
Munnar is a hill station and is surrounded by hills and is famous for tea plantation. Post breakfast visit Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Eravikulam reserve and tea plantation. Explore the lake and enjoy boat ride there. Return to the hotel and enjoy your dinner.
Day 11: Munnar – Periyar (96 km)
Post breakfast head towards Periyar. Visit Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary which is surrounded by Cardamom hills, Periyar Lake. Explore the forests by walk and see the beauty of nature. Return to the hotel and stay overnight.
Day 12: Periyar – Kumarakom (79 km)
Visit Kumarakom as the next destination of the tour. Here visit will be at Kumarakom bird sanctuary which is habitat to many species like cuckoo, Siberian Stroke and many more. Next visit will be at Vembanad Lake which is the largest lake in Kerala and Aruvikkuzhi waterfall. To explore more you will be spending your day in Houseboat and the view around you seems like heaven. Return to the hotel and enjoy your dinner.
Day 13: Kumarakom – Alleppey (32 km)
Alleppey is also known as the Venice of East. Enjoy houseboat which has all the luxurious facilities and feel yourself close to nature by seeing many migratory birds and forest close to you. Return to the hotel after being mesmerized by the beauty of nature and relax.
Day 14: Alleppey – Kovalam (159 km)
Post breakfast the tour will proceed towards Kovalam. It’s a small coastal town in Kerala. Visit will be at Lighthouse Beach, Hawa Beach, Samudra Beach and Vellayani Lake. After enjoying boat ride and beauty of sunset at Beach return to the hotel.
Day 15: Kovalam – Trivandrum (16 km)
After having breakfast the tour will head towards Trivandrum. Here you will come across European architecture and art galleries. Visit Poovar Shiland, Verkala Beach, Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Agasthyakoodam which is a hill station and Poovar Island.
